Fresh Fruit & Veggies Delivered to you weekly for A Season….

Community-supported agriculture farms consist of three main aspects:

  1. An emphasis on local produce

  2. Community members purchasing a share of the upcoming season’s harvest or subscriptions sold prior to season

  3. Weekly deliveries to of the subscribers share.

The benefits to the subscribers or members is multi-fold:

  1. Members are guaranteed access to locally grown produce.

  2. Members get some of the best quality & tasting vegetables they can find.

  3. Members are directly supporting a farmer and his family.

  4. Members know the person that grew their food and how it was grown

  5. Generally CSAs pride themselves on growing foods without harmful chemicals

  6. They help to preserve a way of life by keeping local farms in business.

  7. Promoting and directly benefiting regional food security and the safety locally grown vegetables

Members need to keep in mind that CSAs are local and with that there are limitations. Unlike grocery stores with vegetables grown in unknown ways and shipped in from far off places, the CSAs are dependent on the farmer to grow what he can in his region and season. Much like a home garden you plant what will grown in your area for that season. You can visit our What We Grow page to see a list of vegetables available on a seasonal basis.

Generally speaking, the summer you get summertime produce like tomatoes, beans, lettuce, corn, summer squash etc. and in the winter members will receive winter squash, greens, root vegetables etc.

Your taste buds will not be disappointed. We are excited to continue this program and provide fresh veggies to Baton Rouge and surrounding area. We Love feedback from our customers. If you have any questions then please email me. Thanks for helping us “grow” ~Derek, Kacie, Dalton, & Maycee Luckett
